Oegstgeest is a town in South Holland, bordering the city of Leiden, perhaps best known as the birthplace of Dutch author Jan Wolkers and from the title of his autobiographical novel Return .

By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I head home, thinking about how Oegstgeest is this weird mix of chill and chaos. It’s got its quirks, for sure. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I mean, where else can you have a day like this?
