There’s this lil’ known story ‘bout a brothel in Pompeii, preserved in ash. Crazy, right? They found graffiti, advertisements on walls! “Best girls here, come quick!” Hilarious, but also, wow, humans never change. I laughed so hard, picturing some Roman dude hypin’ it up, like, “Sell me this pen!” from the movie.

So, I get to this job on the Zandstraat. It’s a renovation, and the client is a real piece of work. She’s all like, “Make it perfect!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m a carpenter, not a magician!” But I smile and nod, you know? Gotta keep the peace.
