Getting there and around

Currently based in Seattle, I spent every other summer of my childhood visiting family in Kitakyushu, Japan, my mom's hometown. My favorite memories of that.

Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes again. It’s my mom. She’s like, “Did you pay the electric bill?” I’m like, “Mom, chill! I got it covered!” But inside, I’m freaking out. Did I pay it? I can’t remember!
