I remember one time, workin’ from my cramped studio in the tiny quartier of La Borde. So many odd smells, raucous street jazz near Rue d’Austerlitz. Felt like life itself was improvisin'. Numerous moments of "Oh my gosh!" and "dang, it’s beautiful." And yeah, sometimes I get lost in thought, like in that Malick movie, just hearing the universe’s hum.
