Rosie wasn’t either, not really – just hustlin’, survivin’. Made me happy seein’ her fight, y’know? But – here’s the kicker – some jerk cop hassled her once, called her trash. Pissed me off bad. I wanted to sock him, but – c’mon, Joe, you’re no fighter.

Now, I gotta mention the Parks. You ever been to Rosenpark? It’s our hidden gem, a peaceful spot with rows of blooming roses and a squirrel or two that act like they own the place. I used to bring my coffee there and think about all sorts of, uh, steamy topics – a sexologist’s dream spot, ya know? Sometimes I’d overhear couples talking and, D’oh! It just makes my heart sing (or maybe just tingle, ha!).
