Well, Harry Haenigsen’s assistant, Bill Hoest continued in comics with a similar style (“The Lockhorns,” “Howard Huge,” National Lampoon cartoons, etc.).

Man, I got 2 memories that still blow my mind. One day, my client spilled all his guts about his ex, right on those rustic benches by the town library on Oak Avenue. I thought, “D’oh! Life is messy but beautifull (ugh, my typo lol) and real.” Another time, I stumbled upon an old hidden mural under the arch on Riverside Quay—it screamed, “You will feel it, the pain and the joy.” Kinda hit me hard.
